The role of Mindsetmentors in the project
Within the project, Mindsetmentors (MM) focuses on providing its long-standing know-how in the field of communication, which is based on expertise and psychological research. Our experts have developed a methodology for individual educational modules and have significantly contributed to the creation of creative activities in each of them. In cooperation with other partners, such as the Lithuanian University MRU, we have determined the structure of the modules, which includes a theoretical part and practical exercises.
MM also contributed to the development of other activities that had a significant impact on the final form of the project. Our effort is to create materials and tools that have a profound impact not only on individuals and companies, but also on the wider community. The project provided us with a great opportunity to pass on our experience and knowledge to the general public, especially to professional units such as police officers and other security and rescue units, and thus contribute to creating a better and safer society.
Involvement in an international project enabled MM to positively influence not only events in the Czech Republic, but also in other European countries. We see this as an exceptional opportunity to fulfill our vision: to improve the social environment through meaningful work. Our long-term goal is to actively participate in improving communication skills across society, not only within our educational activities, but also through volunteering and various community events.
The project is an opportunity for us to bring about real change and extend our reach beyond our normal activities. We believe that quality communication is key to improving mutual understanding and trust throughout society. Thanks to our involvement, we can provide not only individuals but also organizations with tools and strategies that will contribute to positive changes in their daily functioning and the wider social context.
What is the project about?
The aim of the project is to create an innovative educational platform that will support the development of communication skills of lecturers and teachers specializing in police and security fields. The project focuses on improving communication education at all levels – from police academies, through vocational schools, to training centers and courses. The platform will be available for both new and experienced police officers and workers of other rescue services, such as firefighters, paramedics or professionals in helping professions.
The project is the result of cooperation between experts from the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Romania and is funded by the European Union. Its main goal is to strengthen the capacities of teachers and provide them with tools that will enable them to more effectively pass on communication competencies to their students and mentees. The platform will offer a wide range of educational materials and interactive tools:
- Educational content: Training modules, manuals, guides and case studies will be available through a digital platform.
- Tools for teaching: Video simulations, model situation cards, gamified activities and other interactive materials will help teachers enrich teaching with practical elements.
The platform focuses on improving communication in various situations – when dealing with victims, perpetrators, colleagues and family members. Each module is dedicated to a specific topic, such as active listening, de-escalation of conflicts, respectful and non-discriminatory communication, and more.
Overall, the project aims to improve communication not only in individual components, but throughout society, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of the entire community. Strengthening communication skills not only promotes more effective cooperation and prevention of conflicts, but also builds trust and positive relationships between security forces and the public.
Thanks to this project, teachers will have access to modern and effective tools that will help them better prepare their students to handle communication challenges in a demanding professional environment. In addition, the topics of the modules will be usable not only in working life, but also in personal life, which will contribute to the overall improvement of communication skills and understanding between people.
Implementation period: October 2023 – April 2026

We invite you to the conference
We would also like to invite you to take it a step further and join us at the POL-COM conference: Police Communication That Works in the Field, where you can experience the entire approach in practice. You will discover specific techniques for conflict management and de-escalating tension, negotiation under pressure, and the sharing of experiences across different countries and institutions. The conference bridges the gap between theory and real-world field situations—demonstrating how communication truly functions when it matters most. We look forward to meeting you in person.
