CityZen: How we helped a fast-growing Czech brand align teams, strengthen leadership, and establish healthy communication
CityZen is a brand that is not afraid of innovation – and not just in textiles. With rapid growth, they realized that the key to sustainable development is not just technology, but also people. And that’s when they turned to us. Together, we created a development plan that helped their teams clearly define roles, improve communication, and support leaders in their daily practice.
When growth brings new challenges
CityZen is a Czech manufacturer of premium clothing with a patented technology that eliminates the visibility of sweat, reduces odor, and repels dirt. The company’s rapid growth has brought new challenges not only in the area of production and distribution, but also within the team – in communication, roles, and leadership.
CityZen wasn’t looking for another training course or a one-off workshop. They were looking for a partner to go in-depth with them. A partner who will help them grow in the long term – within the company, not just externally.
A common beginning: Understanding yourself and others
At the beginning, we didn’t need to jump into action. First, we listened. At CityZen, we paid attention to how teams work together, what already works, what is the biggest pain point, and where the hidden potential lies. The collaboration started with a thorough analysis – not only of what doesn’t work, but also of where the company is headed.
Based on this input, we designed a series of workshops that were not about theory, but about real-life situations from daily operations. We focused on leadership, teamwork, and identifying obstacles that could prevent the company from growing.
Workshops that won’t stay in the drawer
Each workshop was practical and built on the previous one. Each meeting was followed by a specific task that the teams applied directly to their practice.
The path of collaboration
Each workshop was not just about joint reflection, but about a concrete shift that started during the meeting and continued afterwards. After each workshop, the CityZen teams were given a task – not a formal “homework assignment”, but a practical step that followed up on what they themselves identified as a challenge.
Sometimes it was about clarifying competencies, other times about revising communication habits or introducing retrospectives. Individual leaders took away concrete action steps that they immediately incorporated into their team meetings, planning, or feedback.
It wasn’t without effort – but as a result, the changes didn’t just happen “on the surface”, but really changed the way CityZen thinks, collaborates, and communicates.
A culture that grows together with the company
It wasn’t just about “education”. It was about changing the culture. About openness. About trust. About the courage to talk about things that are often swept under the rug.
What have we achieved together?
CityZen is proof that when people are not afraid to communicate openly, growth can be not only effective but also human. When development is not about “training courses” but about dialogue, reflective work, and shared responsibility, things happen that have a lasting impact.
